This Scissor Disaster Parts I and II are the debut EPs by me, Silent Sleep. I recorded them in my bedroom whilst living in Berlin in 2011. These are demo versions of the songs that now feature on my debut album, Walk Me To The Sea, which you can also buy here.

Track Name: Black Tide
Here comes the Black Tide,
Same as the last time,
Same as the first time,
It's never a fun time.

Anchor of my life,
Holding my head down,
Sinking to the ground,
Sinking me to the ground.

You always hope that things will get better,
But they only ever go and get worse.
You can take yourself out of the city,
But can you drag yourself out of the shadows?

People are leaving,
choosing their own way out,
I wish you would have stayed,
but you had to go away

You always hope that things will get better,
But they only ever go and get worse.
You can take yourself out of the city,
But can you drag yourself out of the shadows?

Here comes the evening,
All silk and glitter balls.
It's colder than Moscow,
It's dragging you to it's shores.

You always hope that things will get better,
But they only ever go and get worse.
You can take yourself out of the city,
But you're still going to be the same
So give you're head a little wobble
Get out of the shadows...
Track Name: You Can Colour Me In
You can colour me in,
I've been standing in the rain
Soaking up all this dirty pain.
You don't know where I've been,
All my colour's dripped away and left an ugly shade of grey.

Won't you take out all your brushes and your paints?
I've got a broken little frown
That just needs you to turn it round.
I swear I'll do whatever it takes,
I promise that I will not touch and I'll keep still so it won't smudge.

Oh I swore that I'd make everything ok
But I've been struggling with myself
working out what it is I hate
And I try so hard to make this go away.
I'd scratch my heart a million times
just to make sure that yours won't break.
